Our children’s learning experiences are enriched with a range of activities.
The Junior School enjoys an excellent musical reputation and a variety of concerts involving the Choir and Orchestra brings music and drama together. Ballet, tap, modern and jazz dance lessons are available and rehearsed routines are incorporated into productions and summer concerts.
The children enjoy numerous local outings throughout the year that are relevant to topics covered in the curriculum, for example, French Theatre, Peterborough Cathedral and Leicester Space Centre. Field trips to our own Environmental Centre allows the children to access 60 acres of lakes and woodland, a site of special scientific interest. The annual Year 6 residential visit takes the pupils to York, where they enjoy a busy itinerary visiting local attractions that are relevant to current History and Geography topics.
Sports clubs encourage children to practice various skills before playing matches against other schools. These include: hockey, netball, rugby and football. Our younger pupils participate in swimming lessons throughout the year.
Each year we nominate to help a charity and pupils devise many different ways to raise money to support this.
