The purpose built, self-contained Junior School is for children to the age of 11 years, when the majority of our pupils choose to continue their education in the Kirkstone House Senior School.
We believe that, through building happy working relationships, each child is able to thrive both inside and outside the classroom. There is a strong emphasis on promoting the development of both social and spiritual values.
In addition to mixing with their own peer groups, children also benefit from their involvement in our House System, with all its opportunities for relationships to develop across the full age range.
Class sizes are small and therefore individual pupil's contact time with the teaching staff is high, enabling the teachers to assess weaknesses and develop strengths to great effect. An excellent Learning Support Department is available for any additional needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
