Head's Message

At Kirkstone House School we have high aspirations for our pupils and aim to provide the highest quality of education at every stage of their development.  In an atmosphere characterised by its supportive nature and sense of community, pupils are helped to recognise and fulfil their unique potential.

The academic, pastoral and extra-curricular aspects of school life are inextricably linked ensuring that a holistic approach to education is adopted at all times. Small classes provide an opportunity for teachers to give individual guidance to maximise academic success; however we also place great emphasis on promoting personal resilience, high self esteem, courtesy and good manners.

Kirkstone House pupils are well motivated, confident and able to flourish in an ever changing world.  A particular characteristic of the school is the excellent relationship between students and our very dedicated and committed staff.  Students are inspired to achieve but there is also the expectation of high personal standards of integrity, care and commitment.  Independent thought is valued and we believe that it is important that our youngsters have a real sense of self worth and of the worth of others.

The school has extensive grounds and playing fields and is set in a beautiful location in the village of Baston. We have much to be proud of and we warmly invite you to visit us and see for yourself what makes the school so special.
