Kirkstone House Upper School is the Senior part of the School which takes pupils aged between 11 and 16 and prepares them for GCSE. We provide academic, creative and sporting challenges and follow a broad-based curriculum leading up to GCSE. We offer up to 9 subjects at GCSE.
In the Senior department we run a house system with individual house tutors which provides pupils with a strong emphasis on pastoral care. We believe in important values such as courtesy, consideration and personal responsibility, and we help pupils develop personal characteristics such as confidence, individuality, initiative, alongside respect, honesty and friendship.
There is also a Learning Support department which helps pupils improve their study and learning skills and prepare for the demands of GCSE.
