Teacher of English

Teacher of English :  September 2020

Kirkstone House School is seeking a full time, teacher of English to join our small department.

The school is a non-selective, small independent school which offers opportunities to teach pupils of all abilities within a calm, purposeful and supportive setting. Teaching will be in KS3 and KS4.

Applications are welcome from both experienced teachers and those in their NQT year.

Teacher of PE

Teacher of PE : February 2020

Kirkstone House School is seeking a part time teacher of PE who would like to develop their career in our small department.

The school is a non-selective, small independent school which offers opportunities to teach pupils of all abilities within a calm, purposeful and supportive setting. Teaching will be in KS3 and KS4.

Applications are welcome from qualified teachers, NQTs or candidates with a coaching qualification and / or Sports background.

Lead Teacher of Maths

Lead Teacher of Maths :  Easter 2020

Kirkstone House School is seeking a full time, experienced teacher of Maths who would like to develop their career through leadership of this small department.

The school is a non-selective, small independent school which offers opportunities to teach pupils of all abilities within a calm, purposeful and supportive setting. Teaching will be in KS3 and KS4.

There may be further opportunities for a wider management role for the right candidate.

Teacher of French and Spanish

Teacher of French and Spanish : Easter 2020

Kirkstone House School is seeking a part time teacher of French and Spanish to teach small groups of pupils in KS2 and KS3. The post can be full time for a teacher able to teach SEN English at KS3.

The school is a non-selective, small independent school which offers opportunities to teach pupils of all abilities within a calm, purposeful and supportive setting. Teaching will be in KS3 and KS4.

There may be further opportunities for a wider management role for the right candidate.

Learning Support Assistant

Full time Learning support Assistant required (term time only)

Pay scale dependent on experience and qualification.

We are looking for somebody that is passionate and enthusiastic about working with children supporting their academic and social and emotional needs, experience with learning difficulties would be an advantage.

As a learning support assistant the successful candidate will be working under the direction of the SENCo as well as the teacher in the class room.

Work Experience Students/Volunteers

Work Experience Students/Volunteers

We are always happy to welcome Work Experience students and volunteers to Kirkstone House. All students are provided with an Induction course and they have a mentor for the duration of their stay with us.

Students have previously joined us in Learning Support, PE, Music and in Junior School classes. We are also happy to accommodate students on Teacher Training courses.
